About Nicholas Vita Columbia Care
An accomplished executive with almost three decades of experience in the fields of health care, investing and technology, Nicholas Vita currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Columbia Care, LLC. As the organizational leader and co-founder of the diversified holding company, he works closely with interests in a wide range of sectors, including real estate, technology and health care.
Before assuming his current responsibilities, Nicholas Vita spent several years as a co-founder and managing partner with Apelles Investment Management, LLC, in New York City. In this capacity, he performed in-depth research and analysis of operating companies in areas such as mezzanine finance, private equity and all forms of debt and structured credit. Mr. Vita also served as the President of Apelles Public/Private Partnerships, LLC, an infrastructure investment and advisory vehicle that focused in the field of privatized military infrastructure. His experience with public/private partnerships goes back over two decades, beginning with his time in Eastern Europe after the iron curtain fell - working for a US Government program to advise local government agencies in Czechoslovakia as they restructured and transition from a planned to market economy.
Nicholas Vita holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Columbia University in New York City, where he was a member of the Varsity Men's Heavyweight Crew Team, President of St. Anthony Hall and earned Dean’s list for academic achievement.
